How To Add Dimension To Your T-Shirt Prints
Our motto at BELLA+CANVAS has always been to Be Different. We pride ourselves on finding innovative ways to stand out and stay ahead in all avenues of the industry, and most importantly, to inspire those who inspire us: you, the customer. Here’s how to add dimension to your t-shirt prints.
Businesses every day are trying to set themselves apart. Whether you’re creating tees for an event, your company, or creating your own clothing brand, here are two techniques that will add dimension to your screen prints for a difference you can feel.
PUFF PRINTING
Puff printing, also known as Emboss Print, can be incorporated into any portion of a design. Contrary to what you see, it is not a high-density print, and actually quite subtle of a technique that’s part design, part texturizing.
Puff ink is a plastisol-based ink that is modified with the addition of heat-reactive foaming additive. The biggest mistake printer makes with this technique is putting too much foaming agent. With the proper ink deposit, the puff ink technique could be the perfect accent to elevate your designs.
CRACKLED PRINT
Printed like a traditional plastisol ink with a heavy deposit, once pulled out of the dryer and cooled, you’re able to literally crack it with your hands—allowing you to control the placement of the crackle effect.
You can also apply some of the distressing in the artwork to enhance the design of a vintage-inspired look.
Feeling is believing—so try it yourself and let us know which technique is your favorite!
